No.2 Ash Handling Plant is in fair condition and all that is required is a new conveyor belt.

No.3 Ash Handling Plant is not in such good condition and some pulleys etc., as well as a conveyor belt are required before the plant is in reasonable condition.
The Ash Hoist and Ash Hoppers are in need of a complete overhaul. The anticipated expenditure is not however serious.
CIRCULATING WATER SYSTEM.

The capacity of the existing circulating water pumps is more than ample to meet the requirements notwithstanding the fact that one pump and motor have been removed.
Brackett Water Screens. The two circulating water screening plants are in very poor condition and in need of extensive overhaul although at the present they are out of commission and by-passed it is considered that they should come within the terms of reference together with the rehabilitation of the five adjacent Sluice Valves.

INSTRUMENTS.
The Mecury has been removed from all Venturi meters etc., and the quantity required before these can be put back into service is approximately 200 lbs.
12.
REDUCING VALVE & DESUPERHEATING EQUIPMENT.
The existing reducing valve and desuperheating equipment had been unsatisfactory for a number of years before the war and although new plant has been recently ordered the Company do not wish this to be a C.A.A. liability.
13.
SWITCHGEAR & CABLES.
The High Tension Switchgear is in reasonable condition and although a detailed examination has not yet been carried out, it is not anticipated that anything beyond normal maintenance will be required.
Similar observations apply to the Low Tension Switchgear also to inter-connecting cables and Station wiring.
14.
STATION TRANSFORMERS.
The Station auxiliary transformers appear to be in reasonable condition.
15.
ELECTRIC CRANES.
The two electric cranes essential to the overhaul of heavy plant are in satisfactory condition at present.
16.
STATION BUILDINGS.
Although the Power Station and Substation Buildings are not mentioned in the terms of reference, it would seem that reasonable maintenance should not be excluded.
17.
SUBSTATIONS.
The general conditions of the Substations required for the distribution of the 10,000 kilowatts will be satisfactory when the necessary maintenance work has been carried out and it is anticipated that only running spares of negligible cost need be ordered with the exception of Wanchai Substation where
